Create Cross-Curricular Digital Projects

At Diamond Teachers Group, one of our tutors was matched with a seventh-grade student looking for academic enrichment over the summer. They had the seventh-grade learner create a website using Google Sites about a place they'd travel to with a budget of $5,000. It was a cross-curricular project encompassing geography, financial literacy, and tech.

They had a basic list of things to include: their budget, the daily itinerary, and the location's physical characteristics, and then left it up to them what else to include, including freedom over design. Creating a website on Google Sites gave the student hands-on experience with technology, encouraged active learning, and empowered them to showcase their knowledge in a real-world, digital format. It also helps them enhance their communication skills, promotes ownership and responsibility, encourages creativity, and the list goes on!

Facilitate Collaborative Learning
